This project was designed with accessibility in mind, as the client required a fully functional and safe outdoor space that accommodated their wheelchair needs.
Instead of traditional stairs, we created a ramp design that ensured full accessibility while maintaining a modern, attractive look.
The project used anti-slip composite decking boards in Mocha colour, providing both safety and style for the client’s outdoor area.
The end result was a stunning and functional decking that perfectly matched the aesthetic of the property and surrounding outdoor area.

Ramp Design for Full Accessibility:
The primary focus of this project was to provide the client with a fully accessible outdoor space. The traditional steps were replaced with a ramp design, allowing smooth and easy navigation for wheelchair access from the home to the garden. The ramp was carefully constructed to ensure a gentle slope, meeting accessibility standards while offering a functional and stylish solution.
Stunning Anti-Slip Composite Decking
The client opted for a Mocha colour composite decking, which provided a warm and inviting tone to the deck. This composite decking design offered the look of natural wood while eliminating the need for frequent maintenance. The consistent colourway created a seamless, modern look that complements the home and garden, without using a two-tone approach.
The composite decking is naturally anti-slip, which was an added bonus for this project.

The deck’s subframe was built using UC4 pressure-treated timber joists for durability, along with Plaspro recycled plastic posts for any ground contact points. This framework ensures long-term stability and resistance to rot, making the deck not only accessible but also highly durable and sustainable.
