We recently completed a striking decking installation in the leafy residential suburb of Broadstone, featuring Millboard Smoked Oak composite decking and a full Plas-Pro recycled plastic sub-frame.
This project was designed to enhance the usability and safety of a luxurious home swim spa, blending cutting-edge practicality with sleek outdoor living design. A mechanically adjustable louvered pergola adds a modern touch, providing dynamic control over sun and shade at the touch of a button.
Set against a lush green backdrop of mature trees, this garden transformation offers a year-round space to relax, train, and entertain in style.

Designed Around Wellness and Usability
At the heart of this project is a bespoke deck that gracefully wraps around the client’s swim spa, making water-based workouts and relaxation easier, safer, and splinter-free.
Millboard’s Smoked Oak decking not only provides a beautiful natural grain and colour contrast to the spa’s modern lines, but also offers superb slip resistance and barefoot comfort – ideal for wet feet and peaceful mornings.
The layout ensures smooth transitions between zones, turning a simple garden into a multifunctional wellness hub.
Engineered for Zero Maintenance
No one wants to be worrying about rot, warping or annual staining - especially around water.
That’s why we built the entire substructure from Plas-Pro recycled plastic, which is entirely impervious to moisture, mould, and decay. Combined with Millboard decking, which is immune to splintering and won’t fade or warp like traditional timber, this setup offers true peace of mind.
The result? A clean, stable, and long-lasting deck that looks fantastic year-round with minimal upkeep.
A Garden Retreat with a High-Tech Twist
The final showpiece is the elegant louvered pergola, which features fully adjustable slats that can open to let in sunlight or close to provide shade and shelter, perfect for the ever-changing British weather.
